Allie the Hamster

For a school project Allie had to pick an animal to do a report on. With no help from me she told the teacher she wanted to be a Hamster. Her and Jaren did a great report on hamsters and made a fun poster with all the information they found, then we had to figure out how to make her look like a hamster. The parents came and the animals paraded around for us, then we were able to go in their classrooms and ask them questions about their animals. I think Allie makes an adorable hamster if I do say so myself!

Cali/Disney Trip Part 1

In February we took a trip to California! We had a lot of fun with the Keyes and Johnston families! We left on Sunday (Valentine's Day) and drove to Prim, Nevada. Not without stopping in St. George for a yummy Perk's smoothie:) I had my first experience with the slot machines in Prim, (I know that is sad since I am almost 32 years old, not to mention I quite enjoyed it:) Then off on Monday straight to Huntington Beach! It was definitely warm enough for everyone to swim (except myself, I am not a warm person). We had lots of fun!

Cali/Disney Trip Part 2

Days 2 & 3 were spent at the wonderful Disneyland and California Adventure! One really nice thing about our children's ages are they were tall enough for all the rides:) We just had to do a little coercing on a few of the rides and they were good.

The only ride we didn't make Allie go on was Tower of Terror.

(Secretly this was mine and Kaden's first time and we nearly peed our pants),

so I couldn't make Allie do it.

Cali/Disney Trip Part 3

Our last and final day in California we spent in Disneyland! It was also the day we were able to get in 1 hour before the rest of the world gets there. So we all got up early and rushed to get there and jump in line. We noticed this nice old man (who worked there)walking around talking to people. We kept smiling at him and sure enough he came back to us and invited us to help him open the park! We were able to go just inside the gates (which not to mention the crowd cheered for us while walking up there), we signed a book, and were given some pins to wear. The best part of all was we got to count backwards from 10 to 1 and say 'LET THE MAGIC BEGIN!' as loud as we could. Then they opened the park. Definitely kind of cheesy but we all loved it.
