New Years Weekend

For New Years weekend we were invited up to Bear Lake with some friends to enjoy a nice relaxing weekend away to rest, watch movies, sled, eat, play games, and eat some more! We brought in the new year in New Yorkers time! Sent some to bed then stayed up playing cards until midnight! Kaden was lucky to be able to be an adult this year:)

We LOVE Grandma's and Grandpa's

Grandma and Grandpa Mills came over on Christmas to give us our gifts. My mom made Allie an adorable hat and a matching hat and scarf for her American Girl Dolls along with some cute clothes. Kaden got an amazingly big K'nex Rocket. (You will see from the pictures)

See what I mean?
Jaren and I were not left out of all the gift opening.
(We just didn't get any pictures)
Grandma Joan and Grandpa Jay came over on Christmas Eve morning and gave us their gifts!
The kids loved their gifts. Allie had been wanting a ladybug pillow pet and some Heeleys for a long time. Everytime we went to Walmart we would walk by she would beg for me for one.

Christmas Eve

For Christmas Eve this year we stayed home all by ourselves. It's not that often that that happens. We decided to have a nice ham dinner where everyone picked an item to go on the menu with Kaden's Green Apple Snicker Salad and Allie's Chocolate Fondue for dessert we had a great dinner! We played games, watched the Muppet Christmas Carol (mom's idea, and nobody was excited until they watched it and everyone enjoyed it:), played the Wii, read the Christmas Story, and set out cookies for Santa. It was a lot of fun to start our own little Christmas Eve traditions! Serious poker faces playing Sequence
