Miley Cyrus Concert

Last summer after going to David Archuleta's mini concert and having so much fun, we decided to try another concert. When we heard Miley Cyrus was coming to Salt Lake, my friend and I got online the minute the tickets went on sale. Thinking just the girls would want to go, we were wrong! Kaden and her two boys Myles and Hayden wanted in on the tickets too. We had a lot of fun, Allie busted a move every once in awhile and her friend Lexie is the truest fan of Miley sang every song. The boys on the other hand sat in their seats and didn't even nod their heads. But they said they really enjoyed the concert. Krisanne leaned over to me during the concert and said, 'We may have come a year too late.' Meaning Miley has grown up a lot and the way she was dressed and dancing probably was more then our 10 year old boys needed to see:) All in all we had a great time!

This was Allie's favorite part. Miley rode around in the air on a
motorcycle singing, 'I love Rock and Roll'

This is Miley's brother who opened the show with his band Metrostation!
The only song we knew of his was 'Shake Shake'.

Top of Utah Half Marathon

Emily, Stacey, Melinda, Mike, Me, Faye, and Jen
So I did get talked into running the Top of Utah half, which I am so glad I did it. I think I was much more prepared then the last one, and everything about the run was perfect. Weather, downhill, wind pushing you from behind, running in your home town, and a great running partner. What more could you ask for? We went up the night before and stayed with my parents, which worked out perfectly because we loaded the buses in Providence and finished there. My parents made us a big pasta dinner the night before with lots of yummy desserts. They were the best ever!

Here are some pictures from the race....

Had to put this one in of Melinda!

Notice Melinda's hair... that's how much the wind was blowing.
Faye's first half ever! Made her goal time with even tape falling off her knees:)

Emily who is also from Cache Valley had signed up for it at the beginning of summer, but ended up injuring her foot so dropped out. She ended up filling in for someone last minute. She did awesome, especially for not running for a whole month!

This is my friend Jen from South Weber, it was fun running into her during the race.

Jen and Stacey! They are the wonder runners! Someday I will keep up with them:)

This is Melinda's husband Mike. What a great guy to put up with so many women.

Dave and Mike, friends from Syracuse. Dave had so much fun he went home and signed up for the full marathon in September.
My awesome running partner!
