Christmas Day

There is nothing more exciting than seeing your kids on Christmas morning. It's funny how when we were kids, I remember being soooooo excited for Christmas morning to open our gifts. Well now it's soooooo exciting to watch our kids get soooooo excited to open their gifts! I love seeing their faces and different expressions, or let's be honest when they get those faces like, 'Really, you gave me a robe?' Getting ready to go see what Santa brought! Usually the Argyle family starts opening around 6AM:) And done by 6:30AM!

Kaden getting some LEGO's. Kaden still loves putting LEGO's together. Not sure if they ever get too old to play with them. But we do love to hear the story from dad when his 6th grade girlfriend made fun of him for getting them for Christmas.
So Kaden still has a few more years:)

Santa also spoiled the kids with a Wii this year! Or I should say spoiled the whole family. Jaren and I are known to play Band Hero while the kids are at school:)

Christmas Eve

For Christmas Eve this year it was our turn to go to my parents house in Providence. Every other year we get together and have a BIG dinner, play BINGO, and this was our first year to have a talent show! We had everything from piano, singing, guitar playing, and even someone played their recorder. Oh and I can't forget Hailey and her stick puppet talent. Here are a few pictures from our night.... My brother Kevin, sister Amy, mom, Hailey, and dad.
Kaden's main gift he wanted for Christmas was a Rip Stick! Luckily grandma bought him one. As you can see on his face, he was very excited:)

Reading the Christmas story.

I had to put this picture in because... first it was too cute to remember what it's like having a toddler try and sit on Santa's lap, and second this Santa came and knocked on the window as we were having our talent show and came in let every grandkid sit on his lap, gave out candy canes and left.

I thought, 'Wow! My parents got Santa to come!'

Well after he left I said to my mom, 'Did you plan that?'

'No, I had no idea!'

'Did you know who that was?' thinking of course she did...

'I have NO clue who that was!'

Harris Christmas Party

Our second Christmas party of the season was the Harris Santa party. All of Jaren's cousins, aunts, and uncles get together and eat dinner, have a talent show, and of course Santa comes! There's always a lot of people there and it's always fun to see who will embarass themselves with a crazy talent. This year Jaren's cousin who is probably 22 years old sang a Muppet Christmas Carol in Kermit the Frog's voice. Quite entertaining! Kaden and Allie each performed a Christmas song on the piano. This was Allie's first year performing and she quite enjoys doing it. And last but not least.... we played the chimes:)

Argyle Christmas Party

One of our many parties in December is The Argyle party up in Tremonton. All of Jaren's cousins, aunts and uncles from his dads side get together for dinner, gift exchange, and of course Santa! This year was the first year Grandma Argyle wasn't there, it definitely wasn't the same without her. We missed her telling everyone what to do:)

I loved this picture, Allie busting up, Hudson scared to death, Austin asking a question (or telling an answer even though he has no idea what he is going to say), and Matthew just enjoying life.

Temple Square

On Monday night we went to Temple Square with my brother Kevin and his family. I think that was Allie's first time ever going, and the last time Kaden had been was before we moved to Connecticut like 8 or 9 years ago. I'm not sure why we hadn't ever gone, maybe too crazy, but glad we went and will have to make it a tradition to go every year!

A Night in Bethlehem

Our ward party this year was 'A Night in Bethlehem'. We all had to dress up as shepards. Jaren and I had gotten us costumes just like the kids, but one of my friends offered her 'authentic' Jerusalem clothing. (She used to live there:)

Keyes 3rd Annual Christmas Party

Partying it up with our South Weber friends! We get together have dinner, play some games, and laugh! (Some chose to reminisce about the good ol' high school years and look through yearbooks and not participate in other activities)

Sun Valley, Idaho

In the beginning of November our good friends the Johnston's invited us up to Sun Valley for the weekend. (No kids!) We had a blast considering Sun Valley closes down for 3 weeks of the year and we happen to show up in that time period, so not a lot was open. But don't worry, we don't need a lot of entertainment to be entertained. We went bike riding, hot tubbing (not where we stayed because it was closed), went to a movie, watched movies, ate A LOT, and RELAXED. We had a lot of fun:)
