CRUISI'N
It all started off with a bang by missing our flight in Salt Lake. I know I know most people are probably like 'How do you miss a flight leaving from Salt Lake?' We probably could blame this a little on Natalie and a little on Faye. I was having a hard time leaving the house exactly how I would like it, and Faye was picking up a perscription. (Maybe we should just put the blame on Walmart:) We parked the car, rode the shuttle, got in line to check in our luggage and the worker guy checked in one of our pieces of luggage, then grabbed the other one and said 'Oh, I am sorry but we cannot check in this piece.' Jaren and I were like 'WHAT?' I guess if it's less then 30 minutes before your flight the computers do not let you check in your luggage. So obviously we were there at 31 minutes before our flight and were able to check one in, but at 29 minutes and 30 seconds you cannot check in the other one. The kind man offered an idea of just leaving our other piece of luggage behind and having someone come and pick it up from the airport and we just go with our one suitcase. Brock and Faye were also having the same problem. So we were sent off to talk with some other friendly employees to find another flight. After searching and searching for a flight that day and after offering 3 of us tickets and the other one can just hang back hoping for another flight later in the day they finally found us a flight. Bad thing was it was leaving soon so we had to sprint to the farthest corner of the airport possible. As we were sprinting I had flashbacks of last November when Jaren and I were flying to Portland I had watched a few people sprinting down the hallways to catch their flights and I honestly thought to myself, 'Why would you ever be so late to catch a flight that you are having to sprint, dodging through people like crazy people..' Well that was us!
After breakfast we walked across the street to the beach and walked along the water for a bit until it was time to go load onto the cruise ship.
All over the beach were these crazy looking jelly fish. It was almost hard to walk on the beach making sure you didn't step on them. Well I noticed my toe started to sting and we figured I must have stepped on one. It was not a huge deal. But then a few minutes later a small wave came and washed over Brocks feet and one of the jelly fish was wrapped around his ankle. He flipped it off and realized right then he had been stung. After about 10 minutes we went back to the room so he could lay down because his whole leg was hurting:(
