Mills Family Halloween Party

This year I decided to have a Halloween Party!
We had a Treasure Hunt for the kids, a Road Rally,
frosted sugar cookies, and ate some chili and cornbread!
I was most impressed with all the fun costumes:)
The gang!
(minus Derek who was working)
Mom & Dad
Kitchen family
(Jeff came without a costume, so we found one for him)
Nyman family

Kids on their Treasure Hunt!
Is that Froto Baggins from Lord of the Rings?
The kids decorated sugar cookies... this is Kaden's masterpiece!

I asked Hailey to look at me and smile and she said,
'Wait one minute!' and dumped the sprinkles all over the counter:)

Grandma Joan's Halloween Party

It's that time of year again 'The Argyle Family Halloween Party'! Pumpkin picking, bobbing for apples, decorating pumpkins, walking/running road rally, and kids in costumes definitely makes for quite the fun day:)

We never decorate a winning pumpkin:( Oh well maybe next year!
We did at least move up to 3rd place instead of last!
Our team (Jaren, Natalie, Kaden, and Matthew) did take 1st place in the Road Rally.
Grandpa Jay blowing up some really small balloons.

Kaden's costume was in the wash since he had a piano recital right after the party. (He got dirt all over his white shirt) Not sure what Jace's costume is doing. He is suppose to be a sheriff, but Jaren thinks he looks more like an exotic male dancer:)

Kaden's Piano Recital

Kaden announcing his songs he would be playing:)
He did such a great job!

I've always told Kaden that when he turns 12 he can decide if he would like to continue taking piano. (We all know what that decision will be!)
But he is doing so well, I keep thinking that I may go back on my word or somehow I need to get him to enjoy the piano and want to continue taking.
I have one year to figure something out.... if you have any suggestions please send them my way:)

Black Island Farm

Having lived in Syracuse for 5 years, we had never been to Black Island Farms! Some friends invited us to go along and we decided to go for it. (I think we never went before because I thought it was a rip off) We started off on a hay ride to a pumpkin patch and we each picked out a pumpkin (camera batteries were dead). Then off to the slides and other fun activities and last but not least the corn mazes. Not only were they corn mazes, but corn mazes shaped like Bella, Edward, and Jacob's faces!

The two Jaren's figuring out the 'left turn only maze'!
