First Day of School

Happy First Day of School!!!
We are sooooo ready to be back in school!  This extra week of summer seemed like an eternity:-)  We had a great summer but was ready for some some sort of a schedule again.  Maybe I will even start cooking dinner again;-)
Kaden's first day of JUNIOR HIGH!!!
I have never been one to get all teary when my kids head off to school.
But Junior High is a different story!
 What a HANDSOME young man!
Heading off into school (without mom walking you in)!
Allie is ready for the 4th grade!!!
She was a little nervous!
Maybe we can pull her tooth out before school pictures so she will smile with her pretty teeth!!

Allie putting her things in her locker!
She was NOT thrilled to have a bottom locker... Oh well!

Ward Campout

Our ward campout was up in Heber this year.
We spent most of the time at the lake
where we fished, canoed, zip lined, and relaxed!

Allie's Surgery

Allie had a mole on her hip that had concerned me for awhile.  So after having a Dermatologist look at it we decided to have it removed.  (Ok the Dermatologist and I, NOT ALLIE)  Allie did NOT want to have it removed!  We put it off and off until finally I knew I had to make the appointment.  I was going to keep it a secret until we got closer so she didn't worry about it, but unfortunately she found out 2 weeks before.  She was stressed about it being removed!!  The day of the small surgery she was so scared but soooo BRAVE!  The worst part for her was the numbing (shots)!  But all in all it was fine!  She is definitely glad it is over:-)

Apricot Picking

If anybody knows me... They know I love to dry apricots!  They make awesome snacks and a yummy fruit leather!!  But for some reason I have the hardest time finding apricots each year without paying my first born child...  This year a friend of mine had heard me talking and invited us over to pick off her sisters tree (who doesn't hardly use them).  There were so many apricots:-)  We all had a fun time picking!  I was able to make TONS of snacks!!  Probably the best part was Jaren handing me down a FULL 5 gallon bucket.  He kept saying 'Let me climb down closer to you, this is heavy!' and I was like 'No, I got it' (Thinking I was all strong and stuff)  So he let go and Timber just like a tree the bucket tipped over and there went all the apricots!  Of course Jaren was so pleased!
Don't worry I will pick them all up!
